Tips
A Most Excel-lent Thanksgiving
November 04, 2011 14:05:38

While the retail world has quickly moved from Halloween to Christmas in theme, the cooks among us are focused on Thanksgiving. Before you can gather everyone around the table on Turkey Day, you have to spend days in the kitchen and on your feet as you prepare a vast array of dishes. Or maybe not.

We found this great—and kind of funny—Microsoft Excel spreadsheet system for organizing Thanksgiving cooking and hosting. It's sure to streamline your preparations and reduce kitchen time. Of course, you’ll still have more than your average amount of cooking to do, so you'll want to make a Memory Foam Luxury Kitchen Mat a part of your program too. The resilient cushioning reduces leg fatigue so you feel like a spring chicken even after roasting a 20 pound turkey.

Fall Cleaning
September 30, 2011 12:54:53

Sure, spring is the season most associated with cleaning, but after a summer of tracking beach sand onto your floors, ignoring your kitchen in favor of the grill and keeping windows open to bring in more air—and dust—fall’s a good time to do some major cleaning too.

Bringing a little TLC to your BBQ

Tender loving comfort, that is.

Summertime barbecuing frees us from the kitchen, but hours spent over a hot charcoal or gas grill can be rough on your body because of all the standing and heat. Well, there is a cure for the sore feet and perspiring brow. There’s no rule saying you can’t bring your Memory Foam Kitchen Mat out of the kitchen and onto the patio, where it can support and cushion your feet while you flip burgers and roll skewers. And because it’s machine washable, the mat can handle the extra dirt of working outdoors when you do. As for staying dry, the Microdry Dish Towel is a perfect grill companion. The microfiber cloth is incredibly absorbent so one towel can keep you dry through a barbecue fest for 50 guests, no problem. It’s also super soft on your skin so that wiping never feels scratchy. Chances are these two accessories will become grilling tools as essential as your spatula and serving platter.

Home Spahhhh

If your summer break this year doesn’t include a trip to the spa, have the spa come home to you. Here’s how to create a rejuvenating experience in your own bathroom:

1) Clear the house. Send your spouse and kids to the movies, to the beach, to the playground. If they absolutely have to stay home, have everyone swear an oath to not disturb you.

2) Set the mood. Candles offer a soft, relaxing light and can add scent to your setting. A favorite ambient playlist can provide the perfect zone out soundtrack.
